Oh danny boy, the pipes, the pipes...
It's official...my computer is dead. Apparently the motherboard for my computer has been discontinued and the computer man can't get another one. How that happens when the computer is only a year and a half old, is beyond me. So, looks like I'm going computer shopping. And plans for my birthday have toned down quite a bit. Going to use the limo/wine tasting money towards the new one. Have to admit, I was shocked at how much money Noah was going to spend on the limo (had no idea they were that expensive). So, hopefully I'll be posting pictures again soon. Thanks for your patience!

bad news and still no pictures
We got a call about my computer yesterday. It wasn't the A/C part thing that was broken. It IS the motherboard. So, still no computer. I miss it so. I have so many pictures on my camera that I want to share with you. Alas, it will just have to wait.
In other news, 111 degrees is waaaaaaaaaay too hot for San Luis Obispo...especially when you live on the second floor with no air conditioning.

good news, but no picture
So, obviously, the lack of posting is due to the fact that I still don't have my computer back. However, the problem was with the AC plug. So, parts and labor and everything will cost a total of $213. If it had been the motherboard, just the part would have been at least $200. So, that's a load off my mind. This also means that I haven't lost all my photographs!!!! We're just waiting for the part to come in and for them to fix it. Can't wait to get it back. However, until I do, there's going to be a lack of photographs on here. Sorry. But have no fear, I have been out and about taking pictures, so once my computer is safely back at home, I'll have plenty to post. Thanks for all your good computer wishes!

found one!
So, my computer is in the shop. On first inspection, the computer guys thinks my motherboard might be fried. No bueno...that'd be at least $200. On the bright side, he said it's very unlikely that my photographs and other information on the hard drive are lost. As long as I get my pictures back, I'm happy. Even if I had to get a new computer, I'd be ok as long as I got those photos.
Today's photograph is brought to you by the wonder of flikr. I have an account that I rarely use, but was able to grab a picture off of it that I never posted here. So, you get a photo today even though I don't have my computer back!! If you want to check out the other photographs I have up over there, here's the link: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jennyb83/
Well, hope everyone had a lovely weekend!

I am sad face
My computer went bthplththtlpt last night. It's going to the shop to be repaired right now, but it means no photographs for today. I pulled out my step-mom's old Sony Vaio laptop that is well, I'm not sure how old, but old...for a computer. And while both my computer (which is just over a year) and Noah's computer (which is maybe 2-3 years old) are being stupid and having issues right now, this one works. The only problem is that all of my photographs are one the other one. If nothing else, this is going to make me back-up all my information. Have been in panic mode worrying over the possibility of losing over a year's worth of photographs. Ok, gonna go freak out in private now. Wish our computers luck.
