I love that I can always use the excuse that it's for taking pictures. "No, honey, I had to buy some roses...it's for a photography project I'm working on. Oh, this cupcake? I just thought it would be so photogenic! These fine Italian leather shoes? I promise it was so I could take their picture...honest."

It's a rough life

Took this with my phone yesterday...and yes, those ghostly white feet are mine. It's not my fault I can't seem to get any color in my skin (well, I did get a bit of color, but it was more red than tan).

It's amazing how life can get in the way of writing/posting a blog everyday. Hope you didn't miss me too much yesterday. After today, I have a 3 day weekend!!!! So, I'll try to get out there and take lots of amazing pictures for you.

What the hell, weather?

I woke up this morning to the sound of thunder. Everything outside was all wet. I'm pretty sure when I checked the weather a couple days ago, it said nothing of thunder or rain. Three days ago it was 90 degrees, now it's cold and gross. Crazy ass weather.

All right, so this is another one of those aquarium pictures. I was flipping back through all the ones I had taken and came to this one. I'm posting it not so much because of its amazing photographic amazingness (what do you want? I just got home from spin class, I can't think of words), but because it made me giggle. It also gave me an idea. I want to play a caption game. Who can come up with the best caption for what these two penguins might be saying to one another. Here....I'll start:

However, since it's about 90 degrees outside and I work all day, I guess I'll settle for an air conditioned gym and a stationary bike.

Are you laboring?

To all you lucky people who are still enjoying a three day weekend: pthpbthphthtp (that's me sticking out my tongue and making a raspberry sound). While you're all out at the beach, or in the backyard having a bbq, or shopping, or slaving away trying to finish your book, I've been selling arts and crafts to other lucky people who have weekends and holidays off. Someday I will escape retail.....someday.
