lovely lazy day

Yesterday was a beautiful day in San Luis Obispo. It started with coffee and a pastry with Noah. I went and took pictures downtown, got all my laundry done (and even put away which is the most impressive part), and watched movies that I should have gotten around to long long ago (Father of the Bride and Groundhog Day). Hope everyone else enjoyed their Memorial Day as much as I did.

I got these stocks at Trader Joe's the other day and they have been filling my apartment with the most wonderful smell! Why is it that all my favorite flowers are seasonal? Daffodils are already gone for the year and soon, these will be gone too. But for now, I can enjoy them (and at just $2.99 a bunch, I can enjoy them for a bargain!).

The wedding yesterday was beautiful! I took roughly 450 pictures, so definitely be prepared for a few of them in the coming week.

On a different note, I'm off to go see two of my friends from high marry each other! It's going to be beautiful and I will probably cry. Should probably pick up some waterproof mascara on the way.

Running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get ready for my friends' wedding on Saturday. All I have to say is, it better not rain!

I took this picture on May 5th. I had the fan on because it was hot, hot I tell you. Now, it's cold and rainy. I looked at the weather and it's not supposed to get over 70 degrees in the next 10 days! I want my sunshine back.

blogger is stupid

Ok, so I had all these posts scheduled for the weekend since I was going to be out of town and away from my computer. What happens? Blogger messed up somehow and they didn't post. So, I reposted them with the dates for which they were supposed to appear. Today's photo is one that I took yesterday with my phone at a winery we went to that was an actual castle! The castle was amazing, the wine was delicious, the guy who was "helping" us, was a jerk...at least the wine was good.

NAPA!!!

That's right, I'm in Napa for my friend's bachelorette party...so once I get back Sunday night, be prepared for lots of wine pictures...or no wine pictures. It all depends on how much wine I consume.

The beer in the front was an espresso porter. And boy, oh boy, could you taste the espresso. I've had coffee porters before but this one was ESPRESSO-Y!

Spiders are everywhere outside. Apparently, they are unaffected by all the mulberry, oak and grass pollens (yes, I looked it up) that are plaguing San Luis Obispo. Damn lucky no-nosed spiders!

This is a photo I took awhile back when I had to be at work before the sun was up. The tree was so nicely silhouetted by the black sky. I took sooooo many pictures, and this is the only one that even remotely turned out. Apparently, point and shoot camera doesn't like working at 5am...then again, who does?

back to work

After four relaxing days off, I'm back to work today...for four days. Then it's to Napa for a three day bachelorette weekend for my friend. Yep, I've got the hard life. Don't be hatin'.

wicked Wednesday

Here's another shot from the Elfin Forest of the Spanish Moss. I took a friend out there the other day. She's from Virginia and kept saying how much it looked like the swamps (only less humid). We kept expecting to find some witches brewing evil concoctions under the trees. Alas, no witches, no elves and no elephants (guess you had to be there).

These overnights are starting to get painful. Oh well, halfway done and then I get a nice long weekend!

night #2

Tonight is number 2 of four overnights. Luckily, we're working 7-3 and not 9-5. Much much easier to stay awake and working until 3. Hope you're all well rested for your work day/night as well!
