M for Monday

Can't believe it's already Monday again. How on earth do weekends off go by so quickly? This was a rather productive weekend though. There was laundry, tax refunds, paying off credit cards (completely! yay!), hanging out with the sister, bbqing with the boyfriend, having friends over for said bbq, some intense games of bananagrams, and research on a camera lens that will be being ordered soon. Now it's back to the old grindstone.

Well, how do you organize your paint? In all fairness, this isn't my paint. It's my momma's. I love going to her house and taking pictures of all the randomness that it has to offer.

It's Saturday! Thank goodness for weekends off! Will spend it hanging out with my sister who's been out of state for two years. I'm thinking a bbq may be in order.

when you're right, you're right

So, Destiny (one of my awesomely wonderful readers and all around great person) suggested that I start to watermark my photographs. Not a bad idea. From now on, you'll see a little "Jenny B Photography 2011" on the top left corner of the photos.

Has spring already sprung?

It seems that way...daffodils, tulips, 74 degrees outside. No complaining over here, I love it!

I dare you!

I dare you to be sad when looking at a daffodil. It's not possible...simply not possible. Daffodils have to be one of the happiest flowers on earth. So, how excited was I when I went downstairs today and saw that the mini daffodils that Noah had gotten me last year for Valentine's had bloomed! I wouldn't be surprised if you end up seeing more daffodil photos throughout the next few months. They are my favorite flower!

Woohoo!

I truly love Turbo Tax. I got my taxes (both federal and state) finished and e-filed in less than an hour last night. My tax returns have been accepted by the government and now I get to sit back and wait for my refund! It'll be enough to pay lots of bills and still have fun money left over...me thinks I'll be going lens shopping soon!

Another beautiful day

I'm really loving the weather the past week. I can get enough of the warmth and the sunshine. I know it won't last forever and the rain will return, but I am determined to enjoy it as much as I can while it's here!

Red Sky at Night...

Sailor's delight! The saying certainly proved to be true this time. I shot this last night when I went on my "lunch" break at work. The colors didn't turn out as spectacular as they were in real life, but what can I say? At least I had my point and shoot in my purse so I could capture it as well as I did. In actuality, the orange in the picture was a much deeper red. And then today? Gorgeous weather!

My 3 day weekend is over, it's back to work for me. Yesterday though, Noah and I went out to Sinsheimer Park. While he disc golfed, I took pictures. Here's one of them. Enjoy!

Makes me happy! Cannot believe how absolutely gorgeous this weekend has been. Middle of January and we've been enjoying sunny days in the low 80s. God, I love living on the central coast of California!

Gotta love three day weekends...especially since for me they are very few and far between. I had one that started today. Spent most of the day doing laundry, but did manage a walk downtown for lunch with Noah. Was able to take a few shots. Enjoy!

That's a lot of ones! It's also today's date. Just realized a few minutes ago that I have a friend that is going to have an awesome birthday this year. Why is that? Because it'll be on 11-11-11....now that's a lot of ones!

halfway to freedom

I'm halfway to a three day weekend. Just a few more days of work and then I get to relax and do lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of laundry.

the "eyes" have it

Been feeling under the weather the past few days (think it's karma kicking my ass for taking a "sick" day earlier in the week). So, today you get another one of those shots that's "just for fun." Went to Wet Pets a few days ago in Grover Beach and these were some of the fish for sale. I thought they were hilariously adorable and had to take a picture. Unfortunately, the glare of the sun on top the water mixed with the auto focus on my point and shoot made this not what I hoped for, but you get the idea. Enjoy!

gone fishing

Ok, no, not me. I haven't gone fishing in probably 20 years. Yesterday though, there were a few people fishing while Noah and I were on our picnic. Enjoy!

best day off!

Noah and I spent a lovely day off together. Part of it was spent at a park in Shell Beach where we ate our lunch of In n' Out. The view was lovely...hope you enjoy it too!

On another note, doesn't take a genius to guess that I didn't win the lottery last night. Far from it...damn those tricky numbers. It was fun to think of all the things I could do though for a few hours.

Couldn't help myself

I mean, it is up to 355 million dollars! That's a lot of money. And hey, I'm realistic, I know that I won't win. But for the next hour or so, I get to play the "what if" game. What if I won 355 million dollars?!?!

There are sharks!!! Ok, so they're just little bala sharks; and they're pretty adorable, really. But look at that dorsal fin! Alright, they're not scary at all. They're our newest addition to the fish tank. Noah's mom gave them to us. And lemme tell you, trying to take their picture at night with them zipping all over the tank? Not so easy.

Happy 2011! Hope everyone had a fun and safe night last night. I had a great time, but after two nights of very little sleep, I think I'll be passing out early tonight. So far though, 2011 has been excellent! Now if we can just have some nicer weather...
