Of these three, I would definitely go with the sunflower. But photo contests are notoriously hard to second guess. Do they give any criteria for the judging?

Given that it's the New Times, which means they want to print the winners in their paper, the color ones would be my choice. And given that it's the New Times, which is supposedly an alternative newspaper, then I'd choose the hand on the fence. But if you can enter two, enter both colorful shots! The curvy road one that I love would be a better entry for an art-photo contest.
