After having lunch with my mom yesterday, Noah and I went to Morro Bay to visit his mom. We went for a walk down to the rock and had a lovely dinner on the Embarcadero. As always, I had my point and shoot in my purse so I could capture a few shots. If you've never been to Morro Rock, there are squirrels everywhere! When I was little, my grandparents used to take me down there and we'd feed them peanuts. I can still remember my grandfather getting mad if the seagulls tried to take the squirrels' food.

The rain has finally stopped, the sun is shining, and I think I will brush the dust off of my camera and try to take some pictures today!

Seriously!?!

Ok, the rain really needs to stop so I can go out and take some pictures. I had planned on going to Hearst Castle today with some friends but I feel the rain is going to cancel our excursion. Looks like another day inside knitting and watching movies. Blech!

It's in the details

Ok, so I think this will be the last Disneyland post. While there we kept saying that what sets Disneyland apart is really all the little details. Just waiting in line is almost a ride in itself. The work that they put into making things "realistic" is amazing. This photo is one of those little details. This was one of the lamps outside of the Tower of Terror. It took us about 30 minutes in line before we even realized the dragon heads on top. It was a great trip! Now I guess I should go take some new pictures so I have something to post tomorrow.

This was inside one of the many candy stores at Disneyland (the fancy one on Main St to be precise). Do you have any idea how difficult life can be when you're at Disneyland with two people who love sweets and you've decided to give them up (the sweets, not the people)? I stayed strong though and didn't give in to temptation...sweet sweet temptation.

This just cracked me up. It was also while we were standing in line for the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland. It's the simple things in life that make you smile.

Capitol Idea

Saw Great Moments with Mr Lincoln while at Disneyland. In the outer room, there's a hand carved model of the capitol building. It was very impressive. I can't even imagine having the patience to carve all those details.

Saw these coconuts while waiting in line for the Jungle Cruise. It cracked me up when I noticed the face on the one coconut. Had to grab a picture.

Ok, so can you guess where I went? Yep, Disneyland! I only took my point and shoot and don't have a ton of pictures to post (and most you can't even tell where I am), but you'll see a few in the next couple of days. I had an amazing time and made lots of memories.

Got home late last night and had to be up super early for work this morning, so sorry about the late posting. Still haven't gone through the pictures I took this weekend, so I guess you'll have to wait a little longer to hear about my trip. Enjoy the mushroom!!

I went on a nice long walk the other day when I got off work. I just bought a new pair of hiking boots and felt like breaking them in (and figured I could take some pictures while I was at it). While walking, I saw this mailbox. I love it! Anyone else out there just love mailboxes? So much potential...for good or bad. It's just luck of the draw.

Noah's been gone snowboarding the past few days and won't be home again for another few days. It's kinda lonely around here. This is the longest we've been apart since we moved in together. Oh well, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
