Can't believe how dark it is at 5:00pm. Getting off work at 5 is fairly early for me now, but it's already dark. And once it gets dark, I become a homebody. Damn fall/winter and your cold dark weather. Why can't it stay light until 9pm year round? It would make me a much happier camper. Luckily I have present wrapping to do which can be done perfectly in the dark (well, not in the dark, but when it's dark outside)...then perhaps onto my knitting project.

At least now the night is punctuated by Christmas decorations. I really have trouble with January, when it's still dark, dark, dark, but all the festive lights have gone.
ReplyDeleteLove the red roses on your Christmas tree! What a great idea! They look wonderful against the green.

You people in California have more winter-time daylight than you know! I have another niece up in Anchorge, and its dark there by 3:30 in the afternoon in Dec. (And first light is sometime around 9 AM)
