Is it just me, or does the rain make plants more colorful?

California winters are rough...

I am alive!  Now that Christmas is over, I have a little bit of time to take pictures.  That means it might be less than 2 months before I post again...maybe.

Here's a closer look at one of the many many many many butterflies at Monarch Butterfly Grove.

Monarch Grove is within walking distance to my apartment.  Every fall, the grove is home to thousands of butterflies.  Today there were an estimated 34,000 Monarch Butterflies up in the eucalyptus trees...here are a few of them.
