I want this Sunday?
Ok, so this might be a bit too creepy for me to actually want in my house, but seeing as tomorrow is Halloween, I thought I'd share it with you. This pinhole camera is made from a 150 year old human skull. Here is an example of the kind of photograph it can take:
I'd say the photos come out nearly as creepy as the camera. Happy haunting!

From peacocks to parrots
Ok, so I have to admit that even though I really REALLY don't care for parrots (they're creepy and prehistoric looking), this is probably my favorite picture that I took in San Francisco. The detail and the colors just blew me away when I was going through all the photos on my SD card. Hope you like it as much as I do!

seeing spots?
I love giraffes! They are one of my favorite animals; they're just so ridiculous. I took sooooo many pictures of the giraffes at the San Francisco Zoo, but for some reason just wasn't happy with the results...except for this one. You can't see his silly useless horns, but you can almost feel his velvety skin.

Who are you looking at?
So, this photo kind of amazed me when we got home from our weekend away. I was using my 55-250mm lens so I was not close to the gorilla at all. There were a lot of other people around too, including noisy children. So, when I started looking through the photos I couldn't believe it that this guy was looking directly at my camera. Hope you like him!

Tourist Time
So, as we know the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Once we arrived in San Francisco, I noticed that carrying around my nice camera would prove to be a bit cumbersome. That's when I pulled out my phone. If you have an iPhone, you'll probably recognize the filters from the free app Instagram (if you have an iPhone and don't have this app, check it out). These are the two most touristy shots that I'll be posting. Tomorrow you can start looking forward to some awesome animal pictures (I got to go to the zoo!!!!!).

I want this---oh wait a minute!
So, I'm sure you noticed that I was gone for a few days. I was up in San Francisco for my birthday and had enough to do to get ready without worrying about the blog. Hope you don't mind too much. So, today's "I want" is a Canon EFS 60mm f/2.8 Macro lens. And guess what? My amazingly wonderful boyfriend got it for me!!!! He's been hearing me complain about how I really want a macro lens and that I'll make the investment next year with my tax refund. Now I don't have to! I have the best boyfriend ever!
I know that I promised you fall pictures for the next month, but it looks like you'll be getting a lot of San Francisco trip pictures instead...so get prepared!

Hooray!!!!!!
Today is day one of seven lovely lovely days off. I have been waiting for months for this vacation and it really couldn't have come at a better time. Sorry about the lack of post yesterday. Work was crazy and then there was drinking celebrations for a friend's birthday. And believe me, you wouldn't want to read a post after sake bombs. Hope everyone else is having a splendid day as well!

candy corn?
Well, actually, I used "Autumn Mix" for this picture. Now Noah and I are wondering what we're going to do with it since neither of us care too much for the stuff. Got the idea for this picture here. Gonna play around with it more over the next few days, so be prepared for more of these coming up.

mmmmmm...pumpkins
Yep, they're everywhere. You can get pumpkin lattes, pumpkin scones, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin everything! One of my favorite things to get is pumpkin seeds. Although, when it's so easy to make them, it really doesn't make sense to pay for them. This photograph is from the ones that came out of my pumpkins last year...they were delicious!

I want this Sunday
This is the world's smallest camera, measuring at just over one inch tall and weighing half and ounce. And at just $99.95, I'm almost tempted to buy it just so I can play Russian spy.
